Renewables and the Environment
The Environmental sector is still in its infancy. There are some 115 on shore wind farms in Scotland and there is an emerging off shore market. Scottish Government targets for the contribution required of renewables towards the countries energy needs are ambitious and depend heavily on established on shore wind technology.
The UK has some of the highest landfill levels in the developed world, land-filling 18.8 million tonnes of domestic waste and 39 million tonnes of industrial waste in 2010.
The crossover of companies and individuals in the whole area of renewables and environmental improvement means that to get the maximum from any project anyone operating in this sector needs a legal firm with expert knowledge in this field.
