Andrew Smith

Andrew has built up from scratch a significant business in renewables acting for landowners and funders to include multi-ownership projects, negotiation with a full range of stakeholders including PR, Community groups, developers and funders.

He has close links with the UK Wind Energy Research – Doctoral Training Centre at the University of Strathclyde (http://www.strath.ac.uk/windenergy/ ) and will be one of the visiting professionals giving seminars in the forthcoming academic year.

Andrew's knowledge of the processes involved in realising a renewables project from scratch and his effective influencing and negotiating abilities enable him to add more to a project than conventional legal expertise.

This knowledge and these skills combined with more than 30 years' experience as a lawyer involved in commercial property and corporate added to a general commercial awareness and keen desire to get the deal done matters give clients a valuable resource and put Andrew in a good position to offer an excellent service to clients.
