The firm’s licensing team has seen an exceptionally busy start to the year. Everyone is still busy with the transition applications. Sylvia Flynn, in addition to planning the wedding of the year, has put together a string of ServeWise / City & Guilds courses for on and off sales premises. Details of these are to be found here. The team has been strengthened by the appointment of Jo Brynes which will extend the firm’s range of licensing clients throughout the country. Tom and Jo are both actively involved on the lecture circuit. On 24 April both were speakers at the Scottish Licensing Law & Practice Conference. Tom gave a talk on How Not To Lose Your Licence. Jo outlined the many glitches which exist in the current regulations. In May both are sharing the stage again speaking at the ServeWise CPD Conference. Jo will lead a licensing clinic with Tom once again speaking on How Not To Lose Your Licence. It may or may not be coincidence that Tom has just published a book of the same title.
